What's included
We install lighting fixtures: ceiling lights, pendants, and wall sconces, mounted where a fixture box and wiring already exist. That includes swapping an old fixture for a new one.
Dedate is engineer owned and operated, and if you haven't bought the fixtures yet, we'll help you pick ones that suit the room, the existing box, and your budget.
What we don't do
We don't work on electrical panels, run new circuits, add outlets or switches in new locations, or rewire anything. Flickering lights across the house, breakers that keep tripping, warm outlets, and burning smells are jobs for a licensed electrician, and so is any emergency. If you smell burning, turn off the power at the breaker and call one right away.
If your project isn't a good fit for Dedate, we'll do our best to help you find a partner who can complete the job.
How to prepare
Have the fixtures on site and unboxed if you can. Know where your breaker panel is and make sure it's reachable.
Clear the floor under each fixture so we have room for a ladder.
Safety notes
We turn the power off at the breaker before touching any fixture, not just at the wall switch, and we test the wires before work starts.
If your panel labels are missing or wrong, tell us; finding the right breaker adds a few minutes, and that time is worth spending.
